It is really easy to order your thrift clothing from Thrift Town on the Yaga website, or app.

If you find something that you just have to have, here is a step-by-step guide to help you through the purchase process.

1. You can purchase everything by clicking "Buy"

​

If you see the "Buy" button next to the item, then this means that the item is in stock and available for purchase. If there's something you'd like to specify with Thrift Town first, hit "Send a message" (next to the item) to contact us directly via Yaga chat; if not, just click “Buy”

 

Alternatively, you can also place an offer on the item you’re interested in purchasing. Yaga’s offers system allows asking for up to 30% off the original price, and Thrift Town will either accept, decline or place a counter offer. Once our agreement has been reached, the new price will be automatically displayed for you.

 

2. Choose a delivery method and fill out the necessary information to receive your purchase.

The delivery cost will be paid extra at checkout.

Thrift Town enabled Curier Guy as delivery option, as it is the fastest and easiest, but you can also ask us in the chat if you’d prefer Paxi Pep store-to-store if it’s not enabled. You can also choose Bundling with smaller items, which means you order more products within the hour, paying only one delivery cost.

• Curier Guy - Locker-to-locker courier service anywhere in South Africa. Pudo lockers are accessible 24/7.

• PAXI Pep store-to-store - Find the nearest Pep store to you from the integrated map and choose this as the pick-up point for your purchase.

• Pick Up from Seller (R0.00) - This is a free delivery option that requires you to pick up your items from our store in Durbanville.

• Bundling (R0.00) - This option is automatically activated after the first purchase of smaller products from Thrift Town and allows making additional purchases from our shop without an extra shipping cost for one hour after the first purchase.

 

3. Choose a payment method

• You can pay using your credit card, EFT, Ozow, (your Yaga wallet) or in instalments with Mobicred.

• After your payment, your money will be safely deposited to Yaga's account and transferred to Thrift town only after you've confirmed receiving the item on Yaga (by clicking "Item received" in Orders view). This is how Yaga protects our buyers from getting scammed.

• After a successful payment you will receive a confirmation e-mail and the purchase can be found under "My purchases" on the left menu bar.

• Please allow Thrift Town two days to send out the Order, but if you get any questions then don't hesitate to contact us via Yaga chat.

• Once Thrift Town has shipped out the item you'll also receive a notification about it on Yaga and to your e-mail - so please check if your e-mail is correct (under "Profile" from the menu bar).

• Once you've received your item don't forget to click "Item received" (under "My purchases”) on Yaga to let Thrift Town know that you've got the item and that Yaga could transfer the money to our account.

How delivery works

​

Yaga has multiple integrated courier options that deliver nationwide. Thrift Town chose to make use of Curier Guy (locker → locker service),  or PAXI (Pep → Pep Store service). The delivery cost will be paid extra at checkout by the Buyer.

- Yes, all courier services on Yaga deliver across the nation.

Who will pay for the delivery?

- The delivery cost is paid extra at checkout by the Buyer.

How long does the delivery take?

- Shipping time depends on a) how fast Thrift Town sends out the item; and b) the speed of the delivery service.

We prefer sending our goods with Curier Guy, as it really is the fastest and easiest way. Paxi takes a bit longer but altogether it’s usually not more than a week.

You can always specify the expected delivery time by contacting us via Yaga chat.

 

I would like to purchase multiple items and pay for only one delivery

- For multiple purchases from our Thrift Town shop, Yaga has a solution called “Bundling”. After purchasing the first item and paying for a suitable delivery method, a time frame of one hour opens up for additional purchases from the same shop that can be checked out without an additional delivery cost. This option (only available for smaller items with Thrift Town), is automatically activated after the first purchase from the shop and allows making additional purchases from our shop without an extra shipping cost for one hour after the first purchase.
